NDIS COUNSELLING

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a national scheme that provides funding for people with physical, intellectual and psychosocial disability to access supports so they can maintain and improve their quality of life, achieve their goals and participate in their communities.

InHeart Holistic Counselling is a Non-Registered Service Provider with over 20 years experience in Mental Health. We help NDIS participants who are experiencing complex and severe Mental Health Issues.  We aim to work alongside organisations, agencies, plan managers, support coordinators and other NDIS providers to obtain the best outcomes for their participants. We believe that counselling support for a person living with mental health is an important component for their greater well being.

We understand it may be hard for you to travel to us, so we provide an “in-home” service where we come to you.

Having a session in your own home can feel more comfortable and safer than meeting in an office. It also means that you don't have to worry about driving or catching public transport.

WALK & TALK THERAPY

Sometimes sitting down face-to-face with a counsellor can be confronting. Walk and Talk Counselling allows you to experience the benefits of traditional counselling, except you are walking while you are talking. For example, you might like to walk through a nearby park for one of your sessions.

EXPRESSIVE ART THERAPY

Talking can sometimes be difficult. You might not know what to say or may struggle to articulate how you feel. Expressive therapies, e.g. Art Therapy, can help you to manage behaviours, process feelings, reduce anxiety and increase self-esteem. It can be a safe way that allows you to communicate your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
