What Makes Me Different?
I know what it’s like to live through being diagnosed with a meningioma.
This journey brings with it a complex mix of emotions, fear, anxiety, and a profound sense of uncertainty.
Living with a meningioma can often feel isolating as if your experience is invisible to those around you.
Life may seem to shrink, overshadowed by the relentless “what-ifs” and the weight of the unknown.
I understand these feelings intimately, having navigated the challenges of watchful waiting, the anticipation of surgery, and the path to recovery.
This personal journey, combined with over 20 years of professional experience in counselling and life coaching, drives my commitment to supporting others facing similar diagnoses. I aim to share the insights, resilience, and strength I’ve cultivated, offering a compassionate space where you can find clarity, empowerment, and hope amidst the uncertainty.
I am committed to creating a safe, warm, and welcoming environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
My approach integrates evidence-based practices with genuine empathy. I aim to help clients process their emotions, build resilience, and rediscover their inner strength.
Whether you’re newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, or adjusting to life post-treatment, I am here to support you every step of the way. Together, we can work towards healing, growth, and a renewed sense of self.
Not everyone earns the right to hear your story. Getting to know you is a privilege and requires trust. When you are vulnerable, you need someone who can hold space—someone who will listen without judgment. You want to share your thoughts and fears with someone who is capable of going to those dark places and has the skills needed to bring you out of the dark. I am that person.
Having experienced my own trauma, I decided from a young age that it was my purpose to walk alongside others and help them transform their lives. I started an early career in social work, went on to study psychology, became a qualified life coach and counsellor, and then started my private practice. I’ve over two decades of experience in mental health and 15 years of experience as a therapist.
I am honest, compassionate, and transparent, which creates a sense of trust and rapport. While I am here to support you on your journey, I am willing to share parts of my story to help you work through yours.
Throughout the years, I have developed many tools and undertaken much training that have assisted me in overcoming my barriers and personal limitations.
My journey now is to help you overcome yours.
